Teenage twins Sam and Ben Hazelton are abruptly uprooted from their normal, Australian, suburban existence and despatched to Germany for four months to live with some relatives they've only vaguely heard about.

It's quickly apparent to Sam and Ben that although their hosts are aristocrats living in a magnificent castle, money is always in short supply.

Jack and Lucy are supposed to play their music to the public for a school project. But how is this going to be without Sam, the singer in the trio?

Lili thinks quite pragmatically: for her, spirits of the ancestors belong to this castle. And why shouldn't they make money of ghosts? Only Sam, the enlightened Australian, is sceptical. Until she suddenly hears eerie voices.

The annual meeting of Hasenburg's is about to take place: an appointment that Philipp and Lili would like to strike from their calendar.

Ben tries to spend as much time as possible with Sophie. He persuades her to let him accompany her as she goes to interview the only survivor of one of the city's oldest families, Ms. Schöller, for a history project.

Sam uses one of the many empty rooms in the castle to sing a song for Lucy and Jack. She does not suspect that she happens to be filmed. Markus had a camera installed for one of Lilis promo projects.

Ben is happy: he found new friends in school with whom he can hang just as cool as with his friends in Australia. Finally, everything becomes a little more normal for him.

Lili wants to surprise her parents with a romantic dinner in the forest on the wedding day and Ben should help her find an idyllic spot.

Lili's plans to impress a group of young aristocrats are thrown into turmoil by the arrival of the sheriff.
